This knife is ideal for all flat surfaces (e.g. rollers, cones, bicones, pastilles) up to 40 mm in length.
These knives are the perfect tools for lampworking to create beautifully shaped grooves in glass beads, especially when other tools like bead rollers or presses for molds with grooves cannot be used for this task due to geometric limitations. It is practically only with these knives that longitudinal grooves (grooves that run in the same direction as the mandrel guide) can be introduced into a glass bead.
The unique feature of these knives lies in their distinctive geometry: they are pointed at the bottom and significantly wider at the top with a gentle curve. This results in the beads having an angular notch that appears much more defined.
We have developed a total of 7 of these knives with different geometries – for almost all possible bead sizes.
